Punta de Espero in Menorca is the easternmost point of Spain. It is within the Mahón area, specifically in La Mola. It is the first place in the country that sees the sun.
S'Esperó cape is on a remote cliff for accessing. But, from the Fortaleza de la Mola (Isabel II), you can get there by doing a small excursion. It is only a 12-minute walk from Cala Teulera.
However, the best way to explore this Cape of Menorca will be by boat or kayak from Mahon's harbour.
Cala Macarella is one of the best-known coves in Menorca. The turquoise colour of the sea and the boats' shadows make this beach look like a postcard of the Balearic Islands.
Sharks are present in Menorca and throughout the Mediterranean Sea. However, the overfishing of the last decades has diminished sharks sightings. Nevertheless, every year there is usually an appearance of a blue shark, normally dying on the shore.
