How much population does Menorca have in 2021?
Menorca is the second least populated island in the Balearic archipelago (after Formentera).
The population of Menorca has eight municipalities and three districts. Mahón has the districts of Llucmaçanes and Sant Climent. On the other hand, Es Mercadal has Fornells (in the north of the island), a beautiful coast-village.
Its population of 95,641 habitants (last record of the year 2019-2020) is divided as follows:
- Ciutadella has 30,588 habitants.
- Mahón has 29,592 habitants.
- Alaior has 9,467 habitants.
- Es Castell has 7,572 habitants.
- Sant Lluís has 6,735 habitants.
- Es Mercadal has 5,316 habitants.
- Ferreries has 4,908 habitants.
- Es Migjorn has 1,463 habitants.
As a singular thing, the city of Ciutadella currently has more population than the capital, Mahón.
