The Son Bou beach is located in the urbanization of Son Bou and Torre Solí, belonging to the city of Alaior (Menorca). It has a fairly long beach, about 5km of sand, so despite being overcrowded in the months of high season, we can always walk to find a place to put the towel. Arriving at the end of the beach, we will see that the beach of Son Bou is turning into a nudist beach. If we continue walking we will arrive at the well-known Binigaus beach .
Its nice sand, and completely transparent waters will leave us totally impressed. Mostly the entire beach is sandy, except some concrete points where there are some rocks and stones. It is ideal when the tramontana blows, since waves only form when the wind blows from the south.
If we are enjoying a vacation in Menorca with children , this is one of the best beaches, since it has many services. From toilets, to hire of pedal boats, boats and jet skis.
In the months of high season, a bouncy castle for children is installed, which is undoubtedly very fun for children between 8 and 14 years.
We can get there using public transport, from any other city. There are buses approximately every hour.
If we want to go by car, Son Bou has a public parking lot, where there is capacity for many vehicles, although it tends to fill up, so we recommend going early to ensure a place.
Son Bou, part of the beach, has a beautiful tourist development, with bars and restaurant oriented in most cases to a European tourist. It also has many hotels and apartments. If we are looking for accommodation in Menorca, we will surely see many options to stay in Son Bou.
