The beach of Sa Mesquida , is close to Mahón , about 6km or about 10 minutes by car. It is a beautiful and extensive beach, which is not the most frequented except for the months of July and August. It has a hill called 'Es pa Gros', where we can climb and take a great selfie overlooking one of the best beaches in Menorca , this one in particular, in the rocky north of the island.
Emphasize that if we approach to Es pa Gros, the beach becomes partially nudist. So we should not be surprised.
To get to Sa Mesquida, we must first arrive to Mahón. Once there, we will go down to Puerto de Mahón , and at its last roundabout, we will take the first exit towards La Mola Menorca | Sa Mesquida and Cala Llonga. We will continue the road approximately 4KM, and we will see a junction on the left with the signs of the village. We cross, and follow the road to the end, passing through the town and finally reaching a public parking that is about 5 minutes walk from the beach.
We recommend making a booking, and eating at one of the best restaurants in Menorca, the restaurant Cap Roig, ( address ) which is on the road that goes down to Sa Mesquida. We can enjoy typical products of Menorca , such as lobster stew . Along with exceptional views of the beach and the sea.
The first thing we will si arriving to Sa Mesquida Beach, is a small mountain just near the beach called Es Pa Gros. If you want to take the best selfie, do not hesitate to climb the hill, cause it's just 10 minutes.
If you're going to Menorca with children, you can't miss Es Grau Beach, a wondeful beach which is very shallow, so we can relax on the beach meanwhile our children are enjoying on the sand.
