You can't beat the view of Cala Mitjana. If you are doing a trekking across Camí de Cavalls, you should know that...
This serene beach stands out for its turquoise and crystal-clear water, besides being embedded within steep cliffs. It's a hidden gem you won't want to miss!
The beautiful contrast of the harsh sand and calming seaweed make this area a popular destination for travellers.
Mitjana is significant if we compare it with other beaches. First, it stands out that it is extensive, about 40 meters wide by 200 long.
Second, the sand is white and very fine , ideal for spending the day on the beach. Third, it is an excellent place to go with children , or even with your couple.
The best time to visit this island is during the off-season. In particular, we recommend you go in June and September when it's not so crowded with tourists but still warm enough for a nice beach day.
Cala Mitjana is one of the most popular beaches in Menorca because it has an exquisite setting. That's why this beach was made into a photo by influencers and celebrities! The contrast between sea, landscape makes for incredible photos here that you'll never forget.
It appears on the Estrella Damm video in 2010.
Nowadays, there are two ways to get to Cala Mitjana : on foot from the parking on the Cala Galdana road or by boat.
To get to Cala Mitjana parking , you must turn off onto the ME-1 towards Cala Galdana at Ferreries. Just before reaching the first roundabout, you will find the beach parking. It is very well marked.
From the parking, you will keep walking for around 12-15 minutes to the beach. The path to Cala Mitjana is lovely and has pavement , something perfect in case you go with a person with reduced mobility.
A spectacular lush forest surrounds this path. Do not hesitate to take a picture with your camera of the pure nature of Menorca!
You can park in Cala Galdana and take a stretch of Camí de Cavalls to the beach. However, the pathway is a bit longer, around 25 minutes on foot.
It is also well-marked, and the section begins at a non-exit small roundabout.
The best way to get a good view of Cala Mitjana is by boat. The journey will take you along the coast, past some stunning scenery that's hard (if not impossible)to see from land!
Undoubtedly, going to Cala Mitjana by boat is a unique experience. It is a short trip from Cala Galdana, where you will sail through Menorca's virgin landscapes and cliffs.
In addition, you can explore other nearby beaches that are also very beautiful, such as the famous Cala Macarella or Cala Trebaluger; The latter is renowned for being one of the most inaccessible beaches on the island.
