Cala Tamarells is a medium-sized beach in the southern area of Colom Island, in Menorca. If something stands out about this beach, it is its remoteness; It is one nautical mile from Es Grau. Thus, you will need a kayak or a boat to visit it.
Unlike the other beach on the island: Arenal d'en Moro, Tamarells has much less depth , and its sand is not fine. In addition, it is not so famous, so it will be less crowded.
The beach fits into a small bay , protecting it from all winds; you will see land everywhere, also a shallow area known as Es Pas de s'Illa.
That's a positive point since you can always visit it unless it is a powerful North wind day.
Being on the Colom Island, the only option you have to get there is by sea; this means to go by Kayak or Boat.
Undoubtedly, visiting it by boat is the most comfortable option, and at the same time, it is not expensive either. From the port, a local zodiac leaves that can take you on a boat trip to Cala Tamarells.
If you want to play sports, another great option is to rent a Kayak or a Paddle Surf for hours on Es Grau beach. In the town, several companies offer this service.
